Okay I must confess something. Since being in a small business and having to have our seasons pushed so fast it puts me a tizzy. You see in my mind Fall and Halloween and Thanksgiving are completely over. So I’m looking around everywhere at all the pumpkins laying around wondering why people are slacking at disposing of there Fall decorations. This drives me completely insane, or maybe I was already crazy. So today I’m posting this picture my daughter Sydnee Elizabeth painted because I needed a reminder that Fall is in full swing. 🍂 ❤️

What a day yesterday was! We took off at 9:00, slipped by the barn and loaded up ( you know not sure of weather) We head on back to Goldie’s with 7Brew in hand and drove 1:00. ( let’s not forget there is 3 woman in truck and we need potty breaks! ) and I believe I forgot to mention I of course needed gas. We unload our truck, and go inside to start pulling some items out. We are getting along so good. We decide that we are then leaving and going a different way home. Well we arrived home a little after 2:00 and I have to leave at 3:30 for an auction. I hurry up, feed the dog, because well no one else is qualified or so I’m told. I get to my auction and purchase multiple small and get home to find my spouse is upset that’s it’s raining. (Ummm didn’t know that I was now encharge of the weather) So I’m assuming I now am definitely in charge. I headed to bed because there’s only so much more I could handle. Hoping today is a wee bite easier. How’s your day going? 😉😉 ❤️

Well Shenandoah Valley Flea Market had a major booth refluff yesterday. I can’t tell you what a relief I feel getting this done. We took some of our fall displays out of the Barn and brought them to life in New Market. Tomorrow we are heading back to Goldie’s in Bath County and changing it up back there also. Who’s super excited about our November Christmas show on the 13th 4-8, 14th 9-4 and the 15th 1-4? We have picked some of the best vendors for these dates and we can’t wait to show you.. They also have a month to get ready and we are hoping for the best show yet that we’ve even mapped out additional parking. It’s a Monday yet again. Wow the weekend went screaming by. This week is about getting our books done and stocking our booths at Bath county and Shenandoah Valley Flea Market. My soap box sermon is on being honest. As you know I have lots of vintage shop owners as friends and this topic comes up more times than not. The theft everyone is experiencing is so outrageous and it infuriates me to no end. I just found the other week that there are also thrift stores and second hand shops that are not only dealing with theft in their shops but also with their employees. Right there is where I’m drawing the line, because the 8th commandment is thou shall not steal. It specifically tells you in Exodus 20:15 and Deuteronomy 5:19. We know money is tight and we have compassion but when you as a customer or an employee are switching tags, pricing things cheaper so you can purchase it and sell it on your vinted, depop, or your eBay account that is wrong and extremely dishonest. I’m gonna pray for you and that you change your ways. We as followers of Christ need to keep our eyes on the Golden Gates of Heaven. If you are out and about and see something shady going on please let someone know. We need to find the morals we were taught and hopefully save yet another soul from not getting into heaven to be with our Savior. We as shop owners work hard to make our money, just like you do. Let’s make a difference. At the barn we have actually had people call or text us saying you didn’t put something on my receipt and we want to make it right. Now right there are the things that warm your heart.

Good Saturday morning my friends. What an amazing night it turned out to be. You folks always show up. We truly can’t thank you enough. Now next week is about tearing everything out and starting our Christmas/winter decor. I always struggle with this time of year because I have said before that my Momma thrived on getting the Barn all dolled up for Christmas and I’m in the back ground dragging both my feet and screaming for dear life. We hope to be posting some really cool display. Hope you have an amazing weekend. ❤️

I know it tells you not to be boastful in the Bible but I’m not bragging about myself. So a huge shout out to Baleigh Cline for creating these adorable framed sheets of music with Angels, trees and stars. I’m in awe of how creative my daughters are. You can grab one of these tonight at our pop up 4-8. Hope to see you there. Proverbs 27:1: Warns, "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring."
