Mother's Day is this Sunday! Get her a flower that won't wilt. Several of the patterns I use in Kumiko represent flowers: Gentian flower, Sesame flower, Cherry blossoms.

I will also have large pieces using several patterns to create flowers!

Come check out Lenexa Art Fair this Saturday from 10am-7pm. I plan on being there early for those going to the farmers market that morning!

Progress photos on a table runner, which is a little over halfway finished.

Goma gara pattern for the ends - sesame flower.
A Kawari Yae variant for the center - multiple cherry blossoms.

Basswood, African Mahogany, Walnut, Padauk and Purpleheart.

Will be cleaned up, squared off on the ends, framed, footed and ready to be a functional centerpiece to a dining room table.
