Meet the shell behind the skull. 🐚

I was born in the Philippines, where capiz was part of so many beautiful everyday objects. I've always adored its subtle lustre and the way it throws colour when the light hits it.

So when it came to Halloween, I wanted something with real beauty and quality, not another disposable piece of 'stuff'. Our pearl capiz skull works at Halloween and all year round- it's just a beautiful object ( if I do say so myself!) ✨

As the garden winds down for the season, we find ourselves spending more time indoors at our desks, and that's the perfect excuse for a little sparkle. 🐝✨

Always inspired by nature! Spotted these at this weekend — pale white pumpkins tucked into alyssum and green gourds, and the whole palette is right there: bone, cream, sage, garden green. Sophisticated and chic inspiration!

It's exactly how I think about an autumn table. Start with green as your base instead of the expected rust and amber, then let the pumpkins read as the neutral.

Pearl-white pumpkins, dahlias in every shade of ember, and a table dressed in green. 🍂

Our small capiz pumpkins are hand-pieced from shell in the Philippines, where I grew up surrounded by capiz. Set one at every place or cluster them down the table as a centerpiece.
