Been finishing up another batch of hand-forged knives this week💪

All of these are built to be used — simple, functional, and made with natural materials like wood and antler. Nothing flashy, just solid tools that feel right in the hand and hold up in the field.

This is the time of year when they really start getting used too — camping trips, fishing, firewood, food prep at the campsite, or just keeping one on the belt while working outside.

Father’s Day is coming up as well, and I’ve noticed a lot of people end up picking knives for the same reason I like making them — they’re practical, but still feel personal.

Natural materials just age differently. Wood and antler handles pick up character the more they’re used, so every knife ends up a little different. Especially with a knife that gets handed down through generations.

My favorite thing about collecting knives is finding historical knives with a story. Not perfect, but interesting - that have lasted through the ups and downs and didn't break.

The best thing about making knives is now I get to bring these same knives to life. The bowies, the hunting knives, the skinning knives that people have carried and used for generations.

One thing I’ve learned over time collecting knives is that the best ones usually don’t sit in a drawer for long. They end up in truck kits, camping bags, tackle boxes, work benches — basically wherever people actually do cool things.

That’s the goal with everything I make.

Natural wood and antler handles, hand-forged steel, tried & true designs that are meant to be used in the field and hold up over time. No chipping, no breaking, no dulling.

I've finished up another small run this week and got them listed in the shop to prep for Father's Day. Not that cookies aren't also a great gift, but a good knife always seems to last a little longer😂

Been a busy week at the shop!

A lot of grinding, sheath work, sharpening, and coffee — so much coffee — but we finally got another round of knives finished up and added to inventory! Always appreciate everybody who stops by the table at shows or supports the online store.

Finally getting some real summer weather out here 👍

Spent part of the week in the shop finishing up a fresh batch of knives and getting inventory caught back up. Always a good feeling seeing finished blades lined up on the bench ready to head out.
