That’s one of my favorite parts of BEEutifully Lit!

A sugar bowl. A candy dish. A piece of Depression glass. Something that sat on Grandma’s table or lived in the back of a china cabinet for decades.

Instead of ending up forgotten—or tossed—it gets cleaned up, carefully wicked, and hand-poured with beeswax to become something beautiful all over again.

Old things don’t have to be done telling their story. Sometimes they just need a new purpose. 🐝

And when the candle is finished? Clean out that vessel and keep the story going.

Beeswax pickup day did not come without a little adventure. 🐝🥴

Apparently, fresh beeswax is also a five-star dining experience for wasps. 😂 Even though I had everything covered, they were swarming all over the wax, and getting it into my car without inviting the entire crew along for the ride was nearly impossible.

Thankfully, the sweet gal working at Indian Summer Honey Farm came to my rescue and helped me load everything up while I tried not to completely lose my cool.

I did manage to bring one little stowaway home with me…but thankfully, he stayed in the back seat for the ride. 😳🐝

The things I do for that beautiful, local beeswax! 💛
