Blu J and the stores we share space with will be closed December 24-25 so our families may enjoy time with their families. Be sure to make all your gift purchases by December 23. We will be open December 26.

Blu J and the stores 'on the corner' will be closed November 26-27, 2026 so our employees may spend time with their families. We will not have Girl's Night Out Thursday evening.

There are several cropping and creating oportunities scheduled at Blu J in Hastings. We have Ladies Night Out most Thursday evenings 5:30 pm - 9:00. Check our page for notice of cancellation. New for 2026 will be PhD Club, this is an open creative time in our Nest. PhD Club meets the last weekend of most months, see schedule below. We do ask that you call Calico Cottage, 402-463-6767 to register. We have "No Frills Retreats each quarter (we are still working on the schedule). We also have our Crop-Tastic Weekend (this is our full-service crop), March 20-22, 2026. We will have a second Crop-Tastic Weekend in the fall. Our last retreat is Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. This is a mixed creative outlets retreat held April 24-26, 2026.

Thanks to Hastings Utilities, Hastings Street Department and Pontine Snow Removal we are able to be open today, March 20. We are looking forward to our Crop-Tastic Weekend March 21-23.
