What’s going on at the Roadside stand, you ask?
The honest answer is that it’s taking longer than I expected because I’m building Pine & Petal while wearing every hat myself and at the same time, I’m also running BB’s Detailing & Cleaning.
I’m the business owner, creative director, decorator, floral designer, wreath and bow maker, landscaper, carpenter, painter, installer, sign maker, merchandiser, photographer, content creator, social-media manager, salesperson, bookkeeper, scheduler, purchasing manager, delivery driver, cleanup crew, customer-service department, and quality-control inspector.
Then I switch hats and become an auto detailer, boat detailer, residential cleaner, estimator, equipment manager, and everything else it takes to keep BB’s Detailing & Cleaning running.
On any given day, I may be pounding nails, planting trees, hauling materials, building displays, answering messages, fixing technology, detailing a vehicle, cleaning a home, helping customers, or sprinkling glitter on something new.
I’m also a perfectionist, and I’m determined to build this dream as independently and responsibly as I can. That means progress sometimes happens one project, one purchase, and one paycheck at a time.
Behind the scenes, I’m also exploring some exciting new vendor ideas and possible collaborations with other local makers. I would love for the stand to eventually become more than just a place to shop Pine & Petal I want it to be a unique destination filled with seasonal décor, flowers, handmade goods, special events, and products from other talented small businesses.
So while the stand may be taking longer than planned, it is not because I have stopped working on it. Quite the opposite. I’m balancing two businesses, building everything piece by piece, and working toward something beautiful, unique, and worth visiting.
Thank you for your patience, encouragement, and excitement as Pine & Petal continues to grow. Slow progress is still progress, and I promise there is a vision behind all the chaos, and hopefully some exciting surprises ahead.
O and did I mention I've got a patch of sweet corn coming your way as well??
