Hang on TIGHT to your overall vision, not the details. In the world of construction, things happen. Materials will be back ordered or discontinued, details change and mistakes are made. Stand strong on your final vision but be flexible with the way you get there. It's not usually the specific tile that creates the look but the overall vibe of the material. One white tile can be switched for another if necessary, pick your battles and you will win the war.

Professional Interior Design Tip: You do not have the time or mental energy to dwell on decisions for too long. This shade of white or that one is not something to lose sleep over or spend days on. When you are making final decisions, gather all your materials, pick the shade that works best and that's it. Check it in different lighting and confirm that it goes with all your materials and then move on. Do this with each material and then MOVE ON!

And nothing else. Don't waste your time or energy pleasing people or living someone else's life. Why waste your beautiful gifts or hide your vision? Live the life you came here to live and watch your light shine.

Happy Thanksgiving! This is my favorite holiday. It's about family and friends, getting together and sharing gratitude for the things we already have.

That's where I thrive. My sweet spot. The lane I try to stay in. Living in abundance and being grateful for all the beauty and love around us. Life is beautiful when we pay attention to it.
