I just love this story. My client spent 30 months caring for his lovely wife who did pass after a long illness. She always wanted WHITE (bright white, true white... PURE white....) cabinets. Her amazing hubby, Tom,followed through on this wish and I cannot wrap my head around the fact that I got chosen for this job. It was a joy ... just a true joy... to be any part of this. I loved doing it, I l loved meeting tom and hearing his story. The best part of this is that it is exactly what she wanted but he truly loves it as well. Oh so so sooooo fun to work with clients that just let you do your thing. This amazing client chose the colors and I went to work on my favorite rustic finish that I've perfected this year. I was so excited about this kitchen for this wonderful client in the The Hideout Property Owners Association The Hideout that I forgot to put two pulls on! Ha! Can you find them? A custom color that is the most gorgeous greyish green. This kitchen is a winner. Flipped /Specialty Painting and Restoration ☎️ 570.351.4015 call or text.

Sometimes the best makeover is knowing what NOT to change.

When we start a furniture restoration, the first decision isn’t the paint color. It’s figuring out what we can save.

Beautiful old wood, original details, unusual trim, gorgeous grain, carved legs—those are the things that gave a piece its character in the first place. Whenever possible, we want to keep them.

But old furniture has lived a life. There may be damage, missing veneer, deep scratches or repairs that require filler and putty. And once a surface needs those kinds of repairs, a natural wood finish may no longer be the best option. That’s where paint comes in—not simply to cover something up, but as part of the restoration and the new design.

Our goal is always the same: bring the piece current without changing what made it beautiful and interesting to begin with.

Sometimes that means paint. Sometimes it means restoring the wood. And very often, it’s a combination of both.

We’re not trying to make an old piece look brand new.

We’re trying to make you notice what was beautiful about it all along.

The faith that people place in me to reimagine their pieces is such an honor. I'm feeling good about this transformation to compliment the bed this client got for her son. We were able to save this good piece of solid wood furniture and make it fit perfectly in the boys new room! Thank you so much for the opportunity Christie Engbrecht

Out with the Grey in with the Yay... SW Naval is so great and new hardware just tops it off. I so love my client and friend . I love her ideas and her planning ahead and her lovely historic craftsman home in honesdale. I love that she trusts me to paint for her again and again. This kitchen taught me how far we have come with our techniques and coatings. We first painted this kitchen in 2018 and although still lovely we just didn't have the experience we have now and we didn't do all those little finishing things we do now for a truly professional end result. Always a joy to work with you Sarah! Enjoy it forever!
