I tried something new and instead of using regular two part resin to seal a reclaimed window - I used Paint Couture Pouring Resin and it worked!

After applying a transfer and using crackle on the old glass, I needed to seal it but didn't want to be bothered with regular two part resin. Ttwo thin coats of PC Pouring Resin and let each coat dry. Now it's all completely sealed in - I'll show the finished pieces later in the week!

Surely, I'm not the only one with weird Monday's? I had breakfast of pizza and wings by 10am but worked on new journal covers at 7am. The pieces to complete the other journal covers arrived around 11am but by then I was already knee deep in to a movie of which I can't remember the name now that it's Tuesday. So basically - My Mondays are weird.

Painting window panes and trying to keep the glass clean? Here’s a simple trick that helps a lot. 🎨🪟
Quick method:
1️⃣ Place playing cards all along the edge of the glass while you paint the trim.
2️⃣ Or cover the edges with painter’s tape for full protection before painting.
Both methods work well, but I have to admit… I like tape better.

Adding a little glaze can completely change the look of n upcycled book cover into a journal cover. 📓✨
Here’s the quick way I like to do it:
1️⃣ Brush on your glaze
2️⃣ Use a little water to move it around
3️⃣ Wipe off the excess to reveal the texture and imperfections underneath
Glaze works best over acrylic paint, sealed chalky paint, or crackle finishes. It’s a simple way to add depth and character to your projects.
