One of my favorite tools in the candle studio. It may be a small part of the process, but trimming every wick to the proper length helps each candle burn the way it’s intended.

Sometimes it’s the simple tools that make the biggest difference.

I grew up in Hawthorne, Nevada — America’s Patriotic Home. And Armed Forces Day has been one of the most meaningful days of the year for me since I was a little girl.

This Friday and Saturday — May 15th & 16th — Mayken Light Candles will be at the Armed Forces Day Celebration as a vendor. And I cannot tell you how much this moment means.

I’ll be bringing our brand new Summer Collection - Still Waters, Abundance, and First Fruit. Physical anchors. Reminders to slow down, breathe, and lean on God instead of carrying it all alone.
