Is it just me, or is Facebook getting a little overwhelming? Or maybe overstimulating is a better word... 🤔

In the 2 months I was barely on here (from late-July to late-September) a lot seems to have changed... Everything (especially the reels) is very "produced" and I fear that many accounts are succumbing to the "quantity over quality" trap 😬

I will say that it really makes me appreciate and want to engage more with pages that are posting pictures/videos/content that I know they actually took and that aren't perfect.

A little off-center? Perfect 👍🏼

Slightly blurry? No worries 🫶🏼

Slightly messy background? You are my people! 😂

I love the genuine. I love a good caption that makes me stop and I love engaging with people who love what they're posting about 💕

Maybe I'm the only one who has noticed this but I guess this is your fair warning that my page is mostly pictures, the occasional goofy reel, and lots of knitting and yapping 😘

This was a really special project for me as the yarn was hand delivered by some very dear friends of mine, all the way from Finland!

Phew! 😮‍💨 It has been a whirlwind couple of months to say the least!

🤍 I got a part-time job at a little coffee shop in town and I love it but it was quite a change from stay-at-home mom life! How do work-outside-of-the-home moms do it because I'm a struggle bus and all my kids are teenagers!

🤍 I actually really like getting out and visiting with people! I'm a pretty classic introvert but I think because it's a shift with set hours, I know that once I'm done I get to head home and knit, then I'm good and I'm a social butterfly for a few hours! I don't hate it 😉

🤍 I'm actually quite proud of myself! I'm 41-years old and haven't worked as an employee in about 20-years but even I was impressed with how quickly I've picked things up and I guess I was worried about that in the back of my mind all these years 🤷🏼‍♀️ so that's been a fun realization!

All that to say, I've gotten my bearings a bit and I am greatly looking forward to being back on here a bit more!

What a week!

Full of local farmers markets, pretty sunsets, book fairs, our baby robins flying the nest, thrift finds, and of course, knitting 😉 🧶
Plus, I started training at a new part-time job so I've been BUSY but honestly, having the most fun so I'm.not complaining! I just have to find the balance between knitting, working, and getting on here to visit with friends 💕
