Local businesses pay Sales and Use Tax within the city and county where they operate. Some "local" businesses are actually operating as subsidiaries of larger businesses, so it depends on how their States Sales and Use tax is established.
In the flooring industry, we (the business) are considered the end user, so we pay the sales and use tax when your product is installed. As a business we can choose to have the Sales and Use billed through the mills (billed for point of pick-up at the warehouse) or do it ourselves.
Mountain Floor Coverings chooses to bill from our end (quarterly and yearly tax time makes us question this choice) so your sales taxes STAY IN WASATCH COUNTY. We shop and support LOCAL! Know what you are doing when you shop local. The big box or coporate stores in Heber are local, but consider looking at the "Mom and Pop" type stores, since they are DEFINITELY local.
