Having struggled with anxiety and depression my whole life, I'm finally starting to figure this sh*t out and want to help other freelancers and creatives learn how to take care of their mental health while pursuing the work they love. Check out my blog for weekly thoughts on how to get by, backed by my own personal experience. Coming this summer: A weekly newsletter for freelancers and creatives who struggle with anxiety, giving a bit of motivation to start the week off.

I’m popping up at Cottonwood ALC tomorrow for their holiday sale. Half of my sales will be donated to YWCA Helena and learners sales will buy 20 stuffed animals for children using their services.

I‘m so excited to be back out in-person with my creations for the first time in years!!

I’ve been quiet lately. I just want to pop on to say it’s not because I’m inactive.
*
I’m doing my absolute best to work, volunteer and support loved ones from a distance on screen, while trying not to strain my still recovering brain.
*
I’m finding crafty ways to support the changes our society is pushing for and using my white woman voice to demand drastic and immediate change.
*
I’m stressing out and beating myself up for not working on my Patreon more and for dropping the ball on self-care and for being so grumpy with the non-disabled world for complaining about social distancing because as a person who was isolated for two years, I have so many feelings.
*
This week, I’m cutting back on my news and upping my craftavism because I don’t know what else to do. How are you dealing in a world that’s burning? @ Helena, Montana

The last couple days I’ve been feeling helpless and isolated and just overall down, so I took a little time to spread love in our neighbourhood.

Thanks for making these signs!! @ Helena, Montana

I gotta pay my rent but can’t do much online hustlin’ because of the ol’ TBI, so embroidery kits are selling for below cost on a pay-what-you-can basis.
💌
To cover shipping and make a few bucks, minimum price for first kit is $13.00 USD to ship to all US addresses and $25 CAD to ship to Canadian addresses.
💌
Each additional kit after that is a minimum $10 USD / $13 CAD.
💌
For each single kit someone buys at retail price ($27.50 USD w/ shipping, $45 CAD w/shipping), I’ll add another kit to the pile I’m donating to local Helena shelters looking for activities for folks inside to do.

This wonderful Helena community has helped almost finished ALL the palentines we’re sending out to domestic abuse shelters. We just need to finish some non-English cards.

Could anyone help with Punjab or Hmong translations?

I relaunched my Patreon, but with an entirely new project!

Backers of $25 + / month will get a new embroidery kit each month, including an instruction booklet teaching you all the skills you’ll need for that project. The first few months will include a wall hanging, an iron-on patch and designs for cute embroidered picnic blankets and napkins.

Treat yourself to a new, relaxing hobby you can carry with you to the brewery, meetings and on the bus.

I’m getting a late start on making palentines for domestic abuse shelters, so I’m trying to make 20 a day and it’s kicking my butt.
