Sneak Peek!!
Check out this gorgeous creature in all of her Art Nouveau beauty! Her and her 11 sisters were rescued from, of all places, a SCRAPYARD in Detroit. Someone seriously turned these in for scrap. The owner of the scrapyard called a local antique dealer who ran right over and grabbed them!
I’ve chosen an authentic Art Nouveau palette for her as well as the 2 flanking side/field pieces and will frame her in an Art Nouveau Style frame, reglazed to compliment her color tones. Haven’t decided frames for the side pieces yet, that will come when they’re done. She totally reminds me of the women of Alphonse Mucha, with her elegant, slightly aloof gaze but with just a hint of a knowing smile! She’s absolutely spectacular!
Oh and just for grins and giggles, I included a pic of her before the glaze….big ole difference, ya think!?
She will be making her debut next weekend at Art in Flatiron Park in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
