A Black Veil Burn Co. Community Initiative
✨ Because even after the darkest nights, we deserve to find our light again. ✨
I've been thinking a lot lately about what I want Black Veil Burn Co. to become. Not just as a business, but as something that can make a difference in people's lives.
And today, I want to share something that is incredibly personal to me.
Light After Darkness is an initiative that hits very close to home. Because I've lived through my own darkness.
I've experienced domestic violence, abuse, fear, and trauma. I know what it's like to lose pieces of yourself along the way. To question your strength, your worth, and sometimes even who you are anymore.
I know what it's like to have to rebuild yourself when you didn't deserve to be torn down in the first place.
And I know that healing isn't pretty, easy, or something that happens overnight.
But somewhere along the way, I started finding myself again.
🌙 My spiritual beliefs, my craft, and eventually Black Veil Burn Co. became part of that journey.
Through my beliefs, I found ways to reconnect with myself. Through rituals and intention, I found moments of peace when life felt chaotic. Through creating something with my own hands, I found confidence, purpose, and a part of myself I thought I had lost.
Black Veil Burn Co. became so much more than a small business.
It became an outlet for my creativity, a place to pour my energy into something positive, and a reminder that I was capable of building something beautiful after everything I'd been through.
Every candle I poured, every product I created, every market I attended, and every person who supported this little business helped me reclaim another piece of myself.
I didn't just build Black Veil Burn Co. In so many ways, Black Veil Burn Co. helped me rebuild me. đź–¤
And while I am still healing, still learning, and still growing, I am finally reaching a place where I can look back and recognize just how far I've come.
I haven't allowed my experiences to turn me into someone bitter or cruel. They've taught me compassion, resilience, boundaries, and the importance of standing up for myself.
And now, I want to take something that helped me heal and use it to help others.
✨ Introducing Light After Darkness. ✨
My hope is to develop a community initiative through Black Veil Burn Co. dedicated to supporting individuals who are escaping domestic violence, surviving abuse, and beginning the difficult process of rebuilding their lives.
I envision creating care packages filled with practical necessities, comforting items, journals, affirmations, and thoughtful reminders that someone cares.
But more than anything, I want people to know that they are not alone.
That their experiences do not define their worth.
That they are allowed to be scared, vulnerable, angry, and exhausted while still being incredibly strong.
And that there is still so much life waiting for them beyond what they've survived.
đź–¤ Right now, I'm looking for people who want to help bring this vision to life.
I'm hoping to connect with:
🌙 Local businesses and artisans interested in contributing products or supplies.
🌙 Women's shelters, domestic violence organizations, and community outreach programs interested in partnering.
🌙 Individuals with experience in fundraising, community initiatives, or supporting survivors.
🌙 Anyone with ideas, resources, connections, or a desire to help.
This is still in the early planning stages. I want to listen, learn, and work alongside organizations that understand what survivors actually need.
And I want to make something very clear.
This isn't about pushing my spiritual beliefs onto anyone.
My beliefs and my business helped me find my own path toward healing. Everyone's journey looks different, and I want this initiative to be welcoming, respectful, and supportive of people from all walks of life.
This isn't about promoting a business.
It's about using the platform, community, and opportunities I've been fortunate enough to build to give something back.
Because I know how much a little kindness, encouragement, and support can mean when you're trying to put your life back together.
And because I believe that when we finally find our own light again, we have an opportunity to help illuminate the path for someone else.
