Hi lovelies! Just a heads up Off the Wall Books N Café and Off The Wheel Yarn & Fiber will be closed for the holidays tomorrow Wednesday November 27th and Thursday November 28th! Also, moving forward we will be opening at 10am! Hope you all have an excellent long weekend filled with family, friends, togetherness, and of course all the delicious food! Looking forward to seeing you all when we reopen!

Sorry my sweet customers, I know I am late in posting this and therefore many of you already know. I have been very sick and pretty much slept straight through the last 48 hours. I am bouncing back now and I'm here to give you maybe not the news you were hoping for, but to assure you it's going to be ok! Yes, the closing of Off the Wall Books N Café does mean Off the Wheel will be closing as well. As many of you have guessed by now this has been a hell of a year for both the bookstore, the sweet little former coffee shop Lattes and Lore, and the best little vintage yarn shop. In many ways it is bittersweet, but you really can't make room for bigger and better without some growing pains. I am still not sure what my next move is. I am in talks to continue shipping yarn until I find my forever space, I've toyed with liquidation and just getting out of the game completely (not my fav but it's on my mind). What I want you to know in these days to come is that it has been the absolute joy of my life to serve you and If there is a way forward that works for myself and my family, I won't give up. I love you all so dearly and you made a dream of mine come alive in a way I didn't think possible. So thank you! And please please come in and purchase from us in our last little while open. It would mean a lot to see you all! Also a huge shout out to my bestie Betsy Alger for without Betsy, I never would have been brave enough to start this little venture. I love you so much dear one 🥰🖤

One of my favorite customers 🥰 Maggie Crandall sent me photos of this gorgeous blanket she made using yarn from the shop! Maggie messages me from time to time to talk yarn and since she isn't local I will often pull yarn she is interested in for her husband to pick up while he's in town. I was thrilled when she messaged me her plans for her most recent picks, and asked permission to post her work here! She used the Pastel Rainbow Fairy yarn for the floral motifs and the Katia Boutique (probably my favorite yarn in the shop) for joining the squares! I am absolutely obsessed with how it turned out and so excited I could be a part of helping Maggie create such a beautiful piece! Thanks for sharing your love of yarn and your beautiful work with me Maggie!

Starting November 1st we have a new sale! All of our holiday inspired yarn is 20% off! Look for the light blue sticker! Did a little stocking today! We have some fun new stuff in the shop! I think my next stock day I'll be focusing on older/vintage yarn again. It's been a little while since I have stocked any new (to us) vintage. Come on by and shop with us, browse books and local art at Off the Wall Books N Café and grab a yummy fall inspired coffee at Lattes & Lore !

Did a mini re-stock today! I didn't have much time after being out of town and coming home to a moldy disaster that I had to clean (don't worry none of the yarn was affected). Our basement and pantry flooded but thankfully the floor is stone and the walls are cinderblock and there was no mold besides our wooden pantry shelf which we disposed of and replaced with stainless steel. We were without power for 13 days and although we did come home and dispose of the food that was in our refrigerators and freezers we had mold in the fridge and it was so smelly 😭 Anyways, I am hoping to make time either this weekend or Monday or Tuesday of next week to do inventory so I can do a big re-stock. I hope you all made it through the storm safely and the damage was minimal. We got very lucky (we had a huge oak tree fall and narrowly miss our house). I just had my biggest single order ever today! I'll admit, I've been feeling really discouraged lately about the yarn shop. I have some amazing customers but I am not a great business owner. It seems whenever I plan to be in the shop stocking yarn disaster strikes. I haven't done a restock in several weeks and somehow I'm still selling yarn almost every day. Seeing this order come through really pumped me up. I know I have an eye for this. I know I'm great at picking out unique yarn, pricing it competitively, and making it look good online and in person. I just hate that I don't have more time to invest in my business. Hopefully things will calm (insert the calm after the storm pun) and I can use this renewed excitement to motivate me. I am so grateful for my customers and how they've supported my little business through even a hurricane (both online and local!). Hopefully everyone can bare with me a little longer and give me a chance to be the yarn queen I want to be while also returning that love to my community 🖤

Howdy All! I am currently out of town. Having 2 disabled individuals (one being a child) and no power was not working so we fled to my mom's. The shop is open today. They have wifi, coffee, books and yarn! As an additional service to the community, Betsy will be bringing her fetal doppler to the shop if there are any pregnant folks who would like to check in and have some reassurance. She is not a licensed practitioner just a kind soul who happens to have a good doppler 😉 If you're planning on going out today stop in to Off the Wall Books N Café and let them lift your spirits. Hope everyone has made the necessary preparations ahead of this tropical storm! Please be safe and stay home if possible! We, along with Off the Wall Books N Café and Lattes & Lore will be closed tomorrow and Friday following HCPS closing guidelines. I hope all of my customers will get to curl up with their WIP and get hookin' (or needlin'). See you when the sun comes out ☀️

Working on inventory from home today so I can stock more yummy yarn tomorrow! I also have some more tension rings (new designs too!), and other accessories! I will be stocking some more fall colored yarn as well, and yes it will be 20% off even though it's brand new (to us)! Who wants a sneak peek today?
