andmade Christmas ornaments. The many different varieties of things that can be done with the wired fabric flowers is amazing. Silk flowers were fairly new in the early 80's, and I found a need for them in 1981, with very few decent options available. After a disastrous experience with an order I placed for silk flowers in 1981 for my first wedding, that ended up with more tulle filler and dried sprigs than flowers being used ~ I felt IF I had the knowledge ~ I could do a better job myself. 3 months later that year my Mother passed away. Wanting to keep a nice arrangement at the cemetery, I noticed there was a gap in what was available for Cemetery arrangements in silk. Back then you had to search for quality made fabric flowers that did not fray, were well made with wire and would resist fading or falling apart being placed out in the elements for up to 3 months. I attended multiple 9 week classes learning the different designs and uses for the silk flowers from wedding needs to bathroom designs. I spent the better part of 2 years learning the many ways to incorporate silk flowers and whimsical accents into designs that would be unique, full, well made, and sturdy. My instructor always told the class if our arrangements were done correctly, she should be able to turn them upside down and shake them, and nothing fall out. She performed that test quite often, and I learned anything I made should/would be well made and sturdy. Nowadays silk is a term used, but the majority of flowers are now made from good old polyester fabric. It doesn't have the same luxurious sound, does it? But they have come a long way in developing a durable fabric that is also colorfast for a longer period of time. This lends itself to cemetery arrangements and many more outside creations including door wreaths. I had made grapevine and greenery wreaths for years, but I fell in love with wreath making using deco mesh. I enjoy the unique quality it brings to making door wreaths for any season or occasion. My style of wreath can be whimsical or quirky, but I also love creating lush elegant wreaths and arrangements that are beautiful and breathtaking, they sparkle with elegance. The many things available now to use as accents or the many variety of colors just adds to the uniqueness of a wreath. And as I've found out from customer feedback, wreaths aren't just for front doors anymore! They can be wonderful home decor, bringing the finishing touches to any room, from nurseries to kitchens. Matching color swatches, they are unique, using a special theme. They make a wonderful statement to your own individual personality! I've had customers order them as gifts, with rave reviews! I have a God given talent for blending colors and shading, and I use that for working on all of my wreaths with different mesh colors together, and 4 or more styles of ribbon also added to any creation. God blessed me with this talent, and I enjoy using it and seeing the smiles on my customers faces, or getting their comments in emails or reviews that they are pleased with the results, and it brings a smile or a chuckle. It's nice to know I can help make a home feel warm and inviting with home decor. Ribbons have come such a LONG way since the 80's! I don't think you can ever have enough of wired ribbon! I just love all the designs, patterns, textures and glittered ribbons! Gone are the days of having to reshape an unwired bow by using a curling iron in each loop and the tail! The possibilities are amazing with wired ribbon, and I take full advantage of that and the many designs, colors, textures and BLING to make sure your wreaths are full and beautiful incorporating those contrasts, textures and colors. I take pride in making quality wreaths that will last. I use premium flowers and wreath making materials. I spend several hours working on each unique handmade wreath, and I carefully secure each item to the wreath with wire, or hot glue gun to make sure they stand the test of time. I believe in providing you with a quality product that you will enjoy for many seasons. I never make the same wreath twice. Each one is an original, and the photo you see in this shop is the photo of the existing wreath for sale. The only time I would create two similar is if a customer has ordered 2 for double doors and wanted them to match. I don't like the idea of an assembly line wreath. The way I see it, if it's for your home and/or your door, you deserve a creation that is as unique and special as you are.
