The Hallmark Rugs team worked with a designer over the summer on a custom wide binding Hollywood style installation of a runner. The rug trim coordinated with various blue tones throughout other furnishings in the home. Sometimes all you need is a pop of color to really make a flight of steps stand out.

This is what our process looks like behind the scenes. Before your are perfectly aligned and installed, the work space looks a little messy. Here are some of the trade.

We use large straight edges to make sure every edge is cut perfectly straight and lined up with the walls. Then we precisely apply surging by hand, using our hand binder and hot glue, to ensure our install is properly finished and refined.

These work in progress photos are from an install at a boutique hotel in Lexington, VA. Our 4–person crew worked on site for three days to finish all the steps and hallways. It was a big install, but our team is ready for projects of any size!

From narrow staircases to large rooms, we install carpets of all shapes and sizes. This Cary St home installation used a beautiful patterned carpet from Stark Carpet called Deerfield. We installed it in multiple parts of the client's home – on steps, in the primary anteroom and in a large media room. This room was around 15’x 30’ and huge enough for gaming and exercise areas too!

Several years ago, Hallmark Rugs installed this patterned sisal rug in the Lower Tuckahoe subdivision.

This Hollywood style install included a runner with faux leather binding that was applied ahead of install at our warehouse.

The nailheads were installed on site and measured out per step to have the correct spacing. Although it was meticulous and time consuming, we think it turned out great.

We love working with designers who source unique, custom or very high end rugs or carpet like this. If you are looking for a custom carpet installation partner who loves the details, reach out on our website.
