Hi friends,
It's been almost a year since I saw many of you at the yard sale in April 2021. I moved to PA in May and have been settling in. However, I will be back in the area on March 8 at 1:30 pm at Vienna Presbyterian church to co-officiate the funeral service of my friend and a friend of the store Helen Jones.

If you knew her and would like to join in celebrating her life, I would love to see you there. My warm hugs to each of you. I'm grateful for the ways our lives intertwined.

Hi friends!

I was so glad to see so many of you back in April when we had our Stamp and Scrap yard sale. Much has transpired since then, so here's a little update. I have moved to PA and have settled into my new home and congregation. In addition, I completed writing the Advent Devotional for 2021. What a labor of love! In case some of you might find this meaningful, I wanted to share the information with you. (Full disclosure, I don't make any commission or royalties on the number of books sold.)

Hope you have stayed well, and that you're finding moments of creativity as we head toward all the fall holidays! Missing you!

We are very excited to see you this Saturday, from 10 - 2, at the Nokesville Church of the Brethren for the Outdoor Stamp and Scrap yardsale!

Angela, Laura, Deb, and Harriett will be there - along with other vendors and lots of bargains!!!! Bring your mask, cash or check (not all vendors can accept credit cards), and bags to haul your stash!

Can't wait to see you there!

This photo is from the fun we had in 2019. Of course, last year, we had to cancel the Craft Yard Sale. I'm writing with a proposal for this year.

After having served 6 years as pastor of the Nokesville Church of the Brethren (the host of our yard sales, and beneficiary of the amount raised), I have been called to serve a congregation in the Lancaster, PA area, and will be moving shortly. However, I do have a fabulous collection of supplies to sell.

I'd like to do an outdoor, socially distanced yard sale in the church parking lot - from 10-2 so there is time for the sun to shine and warm us up - on Saturday, April 17 - with the rain date Saturday, April 24.

Would you all be up for something outdoors - wearing masks and keeping appropriate distance?

It is with breaking hearts that we share the news of Donna Kauffman's passing. She was an absolute force of nature - with boundless energy - so it's hard to grasp this loss.

She loved her friends/students/coworkers, and said the store was where she came to talk to real people, instead of the imaginary ones in her creative brain.

Please feel free to share a memory or a picture from some awesome class you took. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Best-selling author Donna Kauffman wrote more than 70 novels and was a contributor to USA TODAY. She died at age 60 of cancer on April 9.

I hope you all are staying safe and healthy, and finding time to dig out your crafting supplies and play a little. If you are finding time to make cards, and would like someone to send them to, I have some shut-ins that would be thrilled to get a little piece of joy in the mail. Please send me a private message, and I'll provide some contact info.

The World Health Organization continues to state there is very little risk of transmitting the virus through the mail. Thankful for glimmers of good news!

One of my favorite things about the Happy Stamper community is the care and concern - the sense of family - that we shared! Having said that, we want to care for the most vulnerable among us - those in the high risk group for the Coronavirus.

Therefore, we will postpone our March 28 sale, so that when we reschedule, everyone can feel comfortable about participating. As things are changing rapidly, we will wait to select a new date. Please stay tuned for more information, and definitely take care of yourself and those around you.

This event is still happening. In addition to bringing your own shopping bag, consider bringing hand sanitizer as needed. Believe it or not, this event is bigger than last year!

We are excited to welcome back The Project Bin. They will be anchoring the "smaller" room, so you'll definitely want to make time to shop in both rooms. The Project Bin will be offering a FREE make-and-take at their table (pictured) featuring a brand new set. They have a show special - buy one set/get a second at 50% off.

You simply don't want to miss this - stay well and see you soon!

REMINDER: The last donation pickup is this Saturday, Feb. 22, from 10:00 - 11:30 am in the old store parking lot (208 Elden St. Herndon). If you'd like to bring your items directly to the church, that's great! We'd like to have them by Feb. 29 so we have time to price and sort. Contact Angela here or at [email protected] to set a time.

And - get excited!!! The event is Saturday, March 28 from 9-1. This is a photo from last year - and it's only ONE OF THE ROOMS of great merchandise (at bargain prices) that is available!!!

Can't wait to see you all!

02/09/2020

We have scheduled a second donation pickup for Saturday, February 22 from 10:00 - 11:30 AM in the parking lot of the Herndon location (208 Elden Street).

You can also make arrangements to bring your donations straight to the church, if that's more convenient. We need them by Saturday, Feb. 29. Please email/message us to set a date/time.

Thank you so much for your continued support. It's going to be an amazing day on Saturday, March 28 from 9-1!
