Hand-painted and crafted with love home decor, crafts & classes Kim Latham Tamiazzo
I learned to paint with acrylic paints in the 1980's.

I took classes from as many teachers as I could at conventions and in local shops to learn as much as I could. My favorite style of painting is stroke-work, German and Russian. I owned my own decorative painting store in CA. in the 1990's, enjoyed teaching beginner classes and selling my painted surfaces. I worked for 15 years for Delta/Delta Creative working with designers, working at trade shows, publishing projects for the company in magazines. I am now retired, living in the high desert in Southern California. I am currently building a website to promote my painted projects and classes. I have two grown children and 5 grandchildren. I am looking forward to teaching at our local shops, painting groups and in my home studio promoting Decorative Painting.

Today, I’m visiting Tarpin Springs in Florida. It’s the “Sponge Capital of the World”.
It’s so exciting to see the fishing boats pull up to the docks loaded with all different types of sea sponges.
We use sea sponges in our painting designs. They add great texture to a painted surface.
I thought a sea sponge is a plant but it’s an aquatic living
species which lives in the deep sea harvested by deep sea divers.

Had a fun day today teaching at the Desert Quail Tolers. The class was at a nice facility in Apple Valley. There were approximately 54 people signed up, some Zooming and some in person. We painted a really cute Scarecrow with a cart called PUNKINS. It was a multidimensional laser-cut wood piece painted with Americana Acrylic Paints.

This is the class we had yesterday at Decorative Creations in Hesperia.
Lots of little pieces but sure turned out cute. A few of the ladies were shy so just included pictures of their projects. The first 3 picture shows different surfaces to display it on.
If your are local and would like to paint with us, please private message me.
