IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello and happy (almost) fall!
Well, fair and festival season is already upon us, and many of us crafters and vendors alike have already set about solidifying our holiday show schedules. Many of our loyal HHM customers and crafters similarly have been inquiring as to the dates for this year’s Holiday Market. Despite having to acquire a new location and overcome some pretty unexpected & unwieldy obstacles, I was really excited to announce that the HHM would indeed plan an abbreviated December only holiday run in Tylerville this season. Unfortunately, due to an avalanche of personal circumstances, The Higganum Holiday Market will have to skip the 2024 year.
As many of you know, just two weeks ago, my oldest son was involved in a serious motorcycle accident, resulting in multiple injuries and leaving him with a TBI (traumatic brain injury.) We are looking at a long and ardent road to recovery. In addition, many of you are aware that I have serious ongoing personal health issues; however, I am also the primary caregiver for my parents, and my father was given a terminal cancer diagnosis last month for which he is undergoing treatment. Simply put, my plate is very full; thus, I will not be able to devote the time to running an enterprise as extensive as our market. I’m sure you all can understand, family must come first, and that has to be my only priority.
As such, we have not yet sent out 2024 agreements, nor responded to new vendor requests, and apologize to anyone who has been asking for them.
On the bright side, there is somewhere familiar we can point you to!! Three of the market’s former elves have opened an artist’s collaborative, Kaleidoscope, over in the Westbrook Outlet Mall, wherein a good many of our HHM favorites already showcase their work along with multiple other artisans. You should really stop in and check out their shop and maybe even look into joining their collaborators!
I truly apologize that myself and the other elves who signed on to help this year will not be able to pull this together for both artisans and shoppers alike. We will miss not only the camaraderie that comes with the market, but the holiday spirit and goodwill that our collections are able to give back to the community.
