We’re so excited to share some truly unique Egyptian pieces that just made their way into the shop! 🇪🇬

From beautifully hand-painted papyrus artwork crafted using traditional techniques, to an incredible vintage print of the Great Sphinx dating all the way back to 1893, these pieces are filled with history, mystery, and timeless beauty.

Before radios… before records… before Spotify playlists…

There was the music box. 🎶

In the late 1800s, if you wanted music in your home, you didn’t flip a switch — you wound a key.

Delicate brass cylinders turned… tiny metal teeth plucked… and suddenly a waltz or lullaby filled the room. Families would gather in the parlor after supper, lamps glowing softly, listening to the same song together like it was pure magic.

It was the Victorian version of “press play.”

Music boxes were treasured heirlooms — given as gifts, displayed proudly, and passed down through generations. A small mechanical wonder that made a house feel warm, alive, and just a little enchanted.

Honestly… we love that slower time.

There’s something special about music you have to wind up and wait for. ❤️
