It’s one thing to design for others, but another to practice what you preach. 🏠
Javier’s home is a reflection of the same principles we bring to client projects: mix materials and periods, edit with intention, and let the space tell a story. The difference is, this one is entirely his own.
What makes it work is balance. Vintage finds sit alongside contemporary pieces. Wood, leather, metal, and stone all share the same room without competing. Each layer adds depth without adding noise.
We find that clients often struggle with incorporating their own collections into a home that still feels cohesive. They worry it will look cluttered or disjointed. Javier’s space is a master class in how to do it right.
A few of his house rules:
• Mix time periods, but keep the palette consistent
• Let materials do the talking, texture over trend
• Give your best pieces breathing room
• Edit ruthlessly, then edit again
The result is a home that feels personal without feeling precious. Comfortable enough to live in, considered enough to last.
