There’s always room for another seat at the table. Welcome to Highwood, Avec Restaurant. 🥂

After a delicious evening across the street, we’re feeling especially grateful for our new neighbors.

To everyone who made the evening so memorable—from the welcome at the door to the servers, bartenders, kitchen, management and partners—thank you. What a joy to have your talent, energy and hospitality right here in Highwood!

From all of us at Carpets of Highwood, we’re so glad you’re here. Here’s to great food, new neighbors and many evenings together. See you across the street! 🥃

That’s a lot of water out there, everyone. Please take a few minutes to check your basement—small steps now can help prevent a big headache.

🔋 Check your sump pump and battery backup.

🌧️ Clear gutters and downspouts so water flows away from your foundation.

📦 Move keepsakes upstairs and keep storage off the floor.

🚨 Consider a water alarm near your sump pump or areas prone to leaks.

If you already have water, please stay out of standing water where electricity may be present and call a qualified professional.

And if you don’t know who to call, reach out to us. We work closely with trusted local remediation professionals.

Stay safe and check on your neighbors. 💙

Your friends at Carpets Of Highwood.

Tomorrow night’s menu just dropped—and
Shop at The Merchant understood the assignment. 🥃

Behind the bar they’ll be pouring:

🥃 The Merchant Manhattan — bourbon, Spanish vermut and a splash of bitters

🍷 Basque Tempranillo — selected to complement Bella Via Restaurant signature meatballs

🥂 Albariño — crisp, refreshing and paired beautifully with Bella Via’s bruschetta

🍾 Italian Bubbles — rosé and white for those who prefer a little sparkle

And save room for the finale: Highwood’s legendary Maria's Italian Bakery & Caffe Highwood is handling the dessert table with cannoli and cookies.

Wh***ey. Vinyl. Textures. Incredible local food, thoughtful pours and one seriously good night in Highwood.

NEXT THURSDAY JUST GOT EVEN BETTER. 🥃

Shop at The Merchant is taking over the bar all night—with a themed drink created especially for Wh***ey, Vinyl & Textures.

And because every great pour deserves something delicious alongside it, Bella Via Restaurant is graciously providing a selection of their incredible small bites for our guests.

The Merchant is pouring. Bella Via Restaurant is serving up the flavor. The needle drops at 5. 🎶

Low lights. A good pour. Vinyl on the turntable.
And a room designed to be touched.

Welcome to Wh***ey, Vinyl & Textures — where what’s underfoot meets what’s on the turntable.

For one evening, Carpets of Highwood brings together interior designers, architects, builders, craftspeople, tastemakers and the design-curious for a more seductive side of Design Week.

Discover floors worth feeling, carpets and textures meant to be touched, and a room full of people who appreciate good design — while vinyl spins, wh***ey pours and conversation flows.
