Don’t forget to protect your hardwood floors during the season change. Key tips to remember :

* Keep relative humidity between 35%–55% year-round.
* Use a humidifier: A whole-home humidifier
* Keep home temperatures between 60°F–75°F.
* Avoid blasting heat too high — it dries the air quickly
* Use wood-safe cleaners: Choose pH-neutral, non-abrasive products.
* Sweep regularly: Grit and salt from outside can scratch the surface during snowy months.
* Small gaps between boards in winter are normal — wood will expand again when humidity rises in spring.
* A hygrometer is crucial to have to help track humidity levels
