Please share with your community! ❤️🌿
From The Art Table to our community ❤️
Northwest Indiana is hurting today.
So many of our neighborhoods are without power. Trees are down. Homes and vehicles have been damaged. Families are displaced, businesses are trying to figure out what comes next, and many people are simply trying to get through the next few days.
But we're also seeing something incredibly important happen.
People are showing up for one another. 💞
Neighbors are checking on neighbors. Strangers are clearing streets together. People are sharing generators, charging phones, offering food, water, ice, showers, transportation and whatever else they have available.
That is community.🌿
If you have resources to offer, please add them to this thread. If you need something, please ask. There is absolutely no shame in needing help right now. Someone in our extended community may have exactly what you need or know where to find it.
And please check on the people around you, especially elderly neighbors, people with disabilities, families with young children and anyone who may be alone or without transportation.
The Art Table has always believed that community is built by people showing up for one another.
Right now, that's exactly what we need to do.
Take care of yourselves. Take care of each other. And love thy neighbor.
With love,
The Art Table ❤️
