She was an amazing woman. I had the pleasure of meeting her and many of the people in her book. We talked about cooking on an open hearth. If you can, buy this book, it is filled with such precious stories from our dear Tasha.

She was photographed most often by Richard Brown, allowing us to savor her not only in our memories, but in the images he captured.

Just sitting on the porch, watching the rain softly come down, making everything green and fresh again . Such a lovely reprieve after such hot, humid days. I’m sure the animals are loving this too, Mrs Wren sings so sweetly to her babies. Isn’t it wonderful to see and feel God’s love, His blessings all around us. Peace…thank you Father.

Happy July 4th weekend. Patriots all over this great land are celebrating 250 years of freedom. The Revolutionary War showed the immense bravery, hardship and love of this new country, fought to the end, many to their death, for freedom. Their blood runs deep in our land. Patriots today, our love of this country and the Constitution, love of God and Country, go together. Stand tall and never take these freedoms for granted. May God bless the United States of America.
