Greetings, curious souls…
In Delaware County stands a place where time did not move on—it settled in and stayed. The Historic Jail and Sheriff’s Residence has watched generations pass through its doors… and some, it seems, never truly left.
I’ve been working with the local historical society, and I thought a few of you might feel that familiar pull—the quiet kind you can’t quite explain—to come and see it for yourselves… especially after dark.
We host ghost hunts within its walls, where footsteps echo down empty corridors, doors shift when no one is near them, and the air has a way of changing without warning. It is not loud or theatrical. It is subtle. Patient. The kind of place that reveals itself slowly… if it chooses to at all.
I’ve included a flyer and a few photos, though images tend to miss the important things. They don’t capture the feeling of being watched… or the way the building seems to notice when you’ve arrived.
Public tours are a gentler introduction—just enough to step inside, listen, and decide how close you’d like to get.
Private investigations… well, those tend to go a bit deeper. The building seems to respond differently when fewer people are present.
I’ll share the ticket link below for anyone who feels drawn to come.
Some places hold history.
Some places hold something else.
This one… does not like to be forgotten.
