This was a beautiful project in Tenafly NJ. Surround sound rooms are very tough to design in large rooms like this and having a soundbar with a frame tv doesn’t look good, it defeats the purpose of a frame tv. We came up with a solution for the left center and right speakers above the tv or under the bridge as we called it. The speakers under the grills are actually aimed towards the center of the room.

The customer wanted to maximize the tv size but we had to have the soundbar for the surround sound. A 65” would’ve been very easy, but we squeezed in a 75” with a 1/4” of space on the top and bottom.

This is the final resting spot for this TV and soundbar. We started with the tv 8” lower then this but with the soundbar on top. We then moved the bar to the bottom but it was too close to the heat. Back yesterday to core drill the marble to move it up just enough where the light fixture wasn’t too much of an obstruction. 8” up and it looks much more centered. .av An awesome build by Rock Solid.

This room is a sleeper for sure when it comes to performance. The install is a Samsung Frame tv. These TVs lose their purpose of you add a soundbar. Therefore, we have some nice Sonance reference speakers for@left center and right, an in-wall sub and surrounds in the ceiling in the rear of the room. The designer picked the fabric for the acoustic panels that we wrap over a 1” thick owens corning acoustic panel that are cut and edges are hardened. The result is a room that performs as good as it looks making the designers very happy they don’t have to see speakers everywhere.

This theater packs a punch and shines an incredible image with its Barco 4K laser projector. This was a fun project that was completed during Covid when stock was very hard to find. The end result is amazing.
