I’m looking for a few people to help test my very first original pattern:

🖤 Thorn Bloom Cuff 🖤

This is a dramatic crochet scrunchie cuff designed to be worn in your hair or on your wrist as a statement accessory. It has layered ruffles, a sculpted bloom shape, and just the right mix of soft + edgy ✨

💜 What I’m looking for:
Crocheters comfortable with basic stitches (sc, hdc, dc)
Willing to follow the pattern and give feedback
Able to share:
at least 1 finished photo
any notes on clarity or confusion

🧶 Pattern Details:
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner / Intermediate
Uses: Worsted weight yarn + 4.0 mm hook
Works up fairly quickly

📅 Timeline:
Pattern will be sent: April 5

Working on something new. This is the prototype, I'm working on refining the pattern to get exactly what I'm looking for.

So a little background.

I started out wanting to make animals and other things, but it was too much of a challenge to keep trying, not because I couldn't read and understand the patterns but because I have bilateral carpal tunnel, I need to go have a couple tests done on my dominant hand, it has gotten a little weak. So I decided on scrunchies, it doesn't bother my hands as much, and it's something that can be used, my mom loves hers and she has thin hair, she was busy cleaning the house etc and it stayed.

Then I took what I made to a car show on Sunday, didn't sell anything, not the right crowd to be fair, but I was just sitting there thinking, what could I do that will be different from the generic scrunchie?

*Side note: I have always wanted to create my own patterns but could never figure out how to grasp the concept so I never thought I'd have something to call mine, but I used chatgpt to help me make it much more fitting to my interests & styles*

Then came the idea for a wrist warmer which my daughter came up with, and between the idea of a wrist warmer and a scrunchie Chat came up with a scrunchie cuff.

I love that idea, it's a scrunchie but it's main purpose is to be worn as a cuff or a statement piece. Its different it's textured it's me. Now I'm still only in the testing phases of this pattern. Its not polished, it's not perfect but for it being a 1st concept type piece it's amazing, it doesn't have a name yet, or really anything.

I'm just really excited to be able to do what I love and make unique pieces that you might not find anywhere else 😉
