Stitchuation Sunday- couching, beading and working on the frogs… why did I choose this canvas? I need to see beyond the frogs. I don’t like frogs. But this canvas spoke to me, the colors, the boldness. And the frogs are on there so it is what it is!

There is nothing better than when finishing you forgot you had put there comes through the door. This is from the class of 2025. Designed by Love You More stitched by me. We did a class last year. I am over the moon with the finish. I could never see this like she did - hence why I use a finisher. When is Christmas??? love! Love love love!

A few things nobody warns you about when you start needlepoint:

🧵 The first canvas is never just one canvas.
🧵 "I'll finish this section and then stop" is a lie you will tell yourself every single time.
🧵 You will own more thread than some small countries.
🧵 Losing a needle is genuinely distressing. Finding it two weeks later in your sock is a whole other experience.
🧵 You will start explaining needlepoint to strangers and not understand why they are not as excited as you are.

And yet. Here we are. Happily stitching. No regrets.

A quick field guide to the stitcher's natural habitat in June. 🌊🧵

☀️ The Beach Stitcher: canvas in the tote, sunscreen on the fingers, zero regrets.
🪑 The Porch Stitcher: ceiling fan on high, sweet tea nearby, not moving until this section is done.
😎 The "I'll Stitch on Vacation" Stitcher: brought three canvases, stitched for twenty minutes, still counts.
