An organized garage feels so good! I’ve used the Fast Track system so many times and love that it’s flexible and reasonably priced. Because life feels calmer when everything has a place to live.

The spaces we use all the time should give us a lift and your closet is definitely in this category. 💯🎯 You can start by ordering everything by type (pants, tops, dresses, etc) and then by color.🌈🌈🌈 Add matching hangers - a small investment but so worth it - and you’ll instantly feel calmer. And that’s so good!

It’s Sunday and it’s raining just a little, but maybe not to much to garden, and Daisy and I had a long walk and now I have coffee and the New York Times. Camille is at work at and Graham is at sleepaway camp and Jay is here with me.
I sometimes feel like I’m not doing enough (of all the fun things I see other people doing on Instagram?), and reminding myself that right now this is all completely enough.
I hope you’re having a day that feels good to you. I think you’re lovely.

When it’s time to say goodbye: I put this dress on this morning and took it right off. Which I’ve done at least three times before. So finally admitting that it’s time to let it go. 😢
There’s something about it (a little too long, sleeves a little too busy) that doesn’t make me feel good and keeping it in my closet will not make anything better - or somehow recoup the money spent. I know it’s the right thing to do but it’s still hard!

Honestly, this feels like a lot of pressure, but also maybe exactly what I need. And of course I type this as I’m sitting in the chair where I read, looking out at the garden; something I feel like I’d be happy doing forever. But also there are wild adventures to be had! Here is to somehow finding the balance between both.

Someone messaged me with a question about our kitchen and family room floors after seeing this before and after - posted by - on Pinterest! I mean, the internet is nuts!

Hello! I’ve been in an Instagram lull, but feel like maybe I’m back? I’m still organizing and being with my clients brings me so much joy and calm (even when I don’t share the before and afters).
Also, this little “Hello” pot from the very lovely gives me a little lift every time I see it. 💙
