It’s the little things that feel the most nostalgic around here💕

We found this while treasure hunting through what felt like a true time capsule this week. The Hotel Atlantic Hamburg opened in 1909 as a luxury destination for transatlantic travelers and somehow, you can still feel that history today.

More treasures from this visit coming soon.

Check out this Double Oxen Yoke! This primitive farming tool was once used to join two oxen together, allowing them to pull heavy loads like plows, carts, and sleds across the farm. Rich with history and honest wear, pieces like this tell the story of hard work and simpler times.

Measuring 50” wide, this antique yoke makes an incredible statement piece. One bow is missing, but the character and presence are still undeniable. Hang it on a wall, layer it into a gallery display, or let it add rustic charm to a covered porch or cabin space. What a conversation piece!

Memorial Day reminds us to pause, remember and be grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of the men and women who sacrificed so much.
From all of us at Moody Judy, thank you to those who served and the families that carry their legacy.

Before fireproof safes became common in homes, families protected their most important papers in handcrafted deed boxes. Tucked inside were land deeds, marriage certificates, wills, letters, family Bibles, and sometimes a little hidden cash. These boxes often sat in the safest room of the home, quietly holding the history of generations.

Today, these beautiful boxes carry more than documents. They carry stories. Their worn corners, aged patina, and old locks remind us that the people before us valued preserving family history just as much as we do now.

Someone get this jewel before I take it home!

A home filled with carefully curated items and unique details tells a story. Adding collected pieces that reflect your personality creates a warm, special space that feels truly lived in. Every piece carries character, history, and meaning, turning a house into a home that tells your story.

Fill your home with treasures that can be passed down for generations… or at the very least, make sure your estate sale is one everyone fights over.

Winston’s Weekly:

This week I'm showing off this incredible late 1800’s knockdown armoire. Measuring 57” wide x 21” deep x 95” tall… you can definitely see why “easy to move” was an important feature back then!

Families loved knockdown armoires because they could be taken apart into sections for transport and reassembled inside the home. Perfect for moves by wagon, train, or simply getting these giants through narrow doorways and staircases.

Before built-in closets existed, pieces like this were essential for storing clothing, linens, blankets, and everyday necessities. Handcrafted from solid wood and built to last generations, they became treasured family heirlooms along the way.

And might I say… this one is in excellent condition. A true one-of-a-kind beauty!
