Made a batch of cutting boards, and had enough scrap for a matching bowl.
Been learning both woodworking and wood turning in my little basement shop. I made a batch of 5 end grain cutting boards and had a scrap end piece where there was some separation. It turned out to be the perfect size for a bowl :)

Wife is due in May! Just finished my future son’s crib.

Found out my wife is pregnant back in August.

Went and picked up the lumber right away. Project took some time because I had knee surgery that left me unable to walk for several months, plus it had been over 15 years since the last time I did any amount of woodworking.

Made entirely out of FAS walnut. Raised the panels via cove cuts on my table saw.

Really happy with how it came out.

I built myself a saw bench
So I finally got around to making a saw bench, I did dovetails for the tops, pegged halflaps for the stretchers and the legs are mortise and tenoned. It was a lot of fun but took way longer than I expected but all in all it was a great way to practice some joinery. It works great and is much more comfortable for ripping big pieces
