Former NFL QB Ryan Mallett has passed away at the age of 35 after a drowning incident in Florida.
Mallett was drafted by the Patriots in the 3rd round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
After three seasons in New England, Mallett had stints with the Texans and Ravens.
After his NFL career, Mallett became an assistant football coach at White Hall High School in Arkansas in 2020 and was promoted to head coach in 2022.
Mallett was a standout quarterback for Arkansas from 2009-2010 when he was named 2nd-team All-SEC in both seasons.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time.
