Bruh. This market, more than any other ever, was an “all hands on deck” situation in more ways than one. Every person in the family stepped up in their best way (even the littles had to cooperate or the whole thing would have fallen apart). However, it was also Jenna! (IYKYK) who made this sixth year at the market happen for us. We never take being a The Found Cottage Mercantile Market vendor for granted - this year, especially. It’s the welcome we get at check-in. The help we get finding our spot and pulling the trailer in. It’s also Zac, the man camping in the trailer behind our spot, who moved our windows to a safe spot during an overnight thunderstorm. It’s sweet Abigail Albers Blog appearing in the dark early morning under her umbrella asking, “How can I help?” It was sister showing up to entertain the kids, making it fun to clean canvases while we packed the trailer, and then driving hours over the state line to deliver hydrangeas from her yard for the display. It’s the community of vendors and “We got this!” attitude all over the market that boosted everyone until shoppers appeared, amazed at what everyone pulled off. Oh, you shoppers! The ones that made everyone’s hard work pay off, not just in cash, but in compliments and comments and friendship. The ones that make sure to hit our booth every year and the new faces from ALL OVER the U.S. Comments and likes on social media that we can feel through our screens when we get the chance to post and interact. It’s Liz Marie Blog and Lisa and Abby who created this beautiful place for all of us to shine on cloudy days. It’s all of the real people behind the scenes at The Found Cottage, like Clair and also those whose names we don’t know, who work all year to make this magical market happen in big and small ways. Our family sincerely thanks all of you and we hope to see you again next year! 🫶🏻
