Summer escape to ! Lighthouse , Jamestown Harbor, - we strolled the town, gawked at the and pretended we we were part of the 'upper crust' for the weekend😂.
And, because we are total history nerds🤓, made sure to hit the historic district in Jamestown (why was I so surprised to see a windmill, 🙃 duh?)

2026 kicked off Thursday evening with a grand . Three 3-masted schooners were the highlights of the event, escorted down the in by many local boaters.

We joined a crowd at the to watch the procession. The parade began with a tugboat and water cannons (much to the kids delight) followed by at least a hundred vessels including the 3 featured .

The was the star of the show - she's a pretty ship that was also part of . With and for framing and the excellent sunset just beginning, I had lots of fun capturing the event and took lots of pictures.

If you'd like to see the ships up close, go onboard for a tour or join in a sail; the maritime festival lasts through Sunday.

Up super early this morning to make it into for . Watched over 50 tall ships from all around the world parade into the harbor with and the . Just amazing.

How cute are these two owlets?

Met Natalie from the Mine Falls Park page when hiking the trails. Really appreciate all she does to promote the trails and promote (and protect) the wildlife living in the area!
