📣 Brittania Condominium Lobby – Grand Opening 🎉

What a fantastic evening celebrating the Grand Opening of Brittania Condominium’s beautifully remodeled lobby! It was incredible to see so many residents and neighbors come together to experience and enjoy this stunning new space.

A special thank you to Luis & Raul (and their team) for making this vision a reality! Your dedication to perfection and keen eye for design brought everything together so beautifully. The attention to detail in coordinating textures, tones, and finishes is truly remarkable—elevating the space to a whole new level of modern elegance. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you on this project!

I’m truly honored that my artwork was chosen for this wonderful community space-a proud moment!

🎨🖼️ ART INSTALL DAY !!

Exciting day at Brittania Condominium! A curated collection of nine large canvas prints is bringing the final touch of elegance to their newly modernized lobby-just in time for the Grand Opening.

A huge thank you to Luis & Raul for being such a pleasure to work with and for selecting my artwork to be part of this beautiful space. It's an honor to see my pieces complement the stunning new design!

This Original Artwork inspired by scuba diving amongst coral, is textured Venetian plaster and acrylic paint on stretched canvas, created with the application of many layers utilizing my Venetian knife. I applied acrylic paints in various hues, using a glazing technique to achieve the desired softness and light.

“Lighthearted” is a radiant painting dancing with vibrant colors, creating a symphony of joy on canvas. The sculpted heart focal point, exudes lightness and warmth, symbolizing carefree moments. I painted this as a celebration of happiness, a visual journey of joy.

Story behind this painting:

This piece was born from my view of a hazy summer morning looking out from Hollywood Beach across the ocean. It is usually a quiet time of day on the beach, which is wonderful to experience and definitely my most favorite time of day.

🎉Congrats to lucky recipient #1 Ofra, who found the first piece of art, titled The Morning After, which was part of Art and Found Day 2024 - thrilled that she loves it & that it now has a new home !

Story behind this painting:

The dramatic texture and blend of colors drifting in to each other was inspired by listening to the relentless sound of surf pounding on our beach for eight straight days, followed by waking to a perfectly calm, peach colored dawn, with an incredibly flat ocean. How the ocean can change so dramatically in such a short time never ceases to amaze me.

Medium: I created this piece by troweling multiple layers of acrylic paint and Venetian plaster onto Gessoboard. Accented with pearl acrylic paint followed by silver and gold leaf, it was finished with hints of crushed granite.

🖼️🎨Art and Found Day 2024🎉

This global annual event is in its 4th year, with over 1500 artists in over 50 countries wrapping up & dropping off their free original art in a public place for an abstract art lover to find and keep ❤️.

Today was such a fun day. Wrapping up 2 of my original pieces and dropping them off at 2 locations!

The first one was found very quickly and the second one took about another hour.

So rewarding to see the lucky finders were delighted with their free art. A very fun way to give back to our community ❤️. Thank you for participating in this years global event Art and Found Day 2024 !

“Migration”
Mixed media on canvas 36”x36”

I simply LOVE to watch birds flying in formation. When they migrate south for the winter, the sight of them flying in formation has always fascinated me. Their journey is so incredibly long, yet they keep going, swapping out the leader when one tires. True teamwork and a story of endurance. Where I live in south Florida, I see Pelicans pretty much daily. I fold it so beautiful to see them glide, as if effortlessly, each following perfectly behind the ole in front ❤️
