I got invited to check out the brand-new Puro, an upscale kosher Italian restaurant in Hallandale Beach, and this place is bringing something really fresh to the area. Located at 645 W Hallandale Beach Blvd, Puro is serving handcrafted pastas, gourmet pizzas, and seasonal Mediterranean dishes with a really elevated vibe.

We started with a sneak peek at their newest addition: breakfast, launching next week and starting at 9 AM. And for dinner, Puro is open every evening except Friday until 11 PM.

We also had their regular favorites including the Stracciatella Pomodoro Piccante, Arancini Dorati, Polenta Fingers, Spinach & Lemon Cream Linguine and Bianca al Tartufo Nero Pizza
Definitely a spot to check out in Hallandale.

In this new episode of my continuing series, Hot or Hype … I’m testing the viral Japanese egg salad sandwich. I’ve been seeing this everywhere… but is it really that much better than the classic egg salad we all know? Or just internet hype?

I boiled the eggs, mixed them Japanese-style with mayo, milk, sugar, salt, and pepper, piled it high on soft brioche with a touch of mustard, then gave it the ultimate taste test.

So… was it actually worth the hype? You’ll have to watch and see.

👇 Would you try this method?

Lots of positive responses to the Hot or Hype series, and I’ve got some good stuff in the works!

The first one was definitely NOT hype, so now we move on to the next one.

I’m not making these videos unless I keep seeing the trend over and over in my feed, and it actually looks like something I’d try. This one is a quick and easy high-protein microwave breakfast snack, and honestly, it sounds interesting.

The ingredients are simple:

1 egg
1 tablespoon nonfat yogurt
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Mix it in a microwave-safe mug, microwave for 60 to 90 seconds, and presto chango, breakfast treat magic.

So let’s see if this trend is hot hot hot, or just hyped-up ChatGPT-generated trash.

I already knew where my money was before I tried it.

What about you? Hot or hype?

Harissa Peanut Noodles

I’m trying out some viral trends this week and letting you know if they are hype or hot! Spoiler alert, this one is hot! Save the recipe and make this,m it’s super simple and you can use ingredients most of us already have. I swapped out the chili oil for Harissa (from ) which actually has chili oil in it, plus some other goodies!

Ingredients
1 package ramen noodles or rice noodles
2 tablespoons peanut butter
Chili oil (or Harissa if you wish!)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 green onions, thinly sliced (half for sauce, half for garnish)
Sesame seeds (half for sauce, half for garnish)

Instructions:
Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a pan over low heat, add:

peanut butter, chili oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame seeds and green onions.

Stir until smooth, creamy, and warmed through. Add a splash of water to loosen the sauce. Toss in the cooked noodles and mix until every strand is coated.
Finish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy. Perfect for a quick lunch, late-night bite, or easy weeknight meal.
