This is Spring Blossom, my entry for this month’s Soap Challenge Club.
This month’s Soap Challenge Club technique was the Twisted Leaf Swirl, taught by our guest teacher, Edgar Kameraki. This was my third attempt at the technique, where I used an ombre effect going from pale pink and yellow to white and dark green, with bright pink at the top to represent a blossom.

Here is a video of me pouring a one-pot-wonder. Spectralectric was my entry for this month’s Soap Challenge Club. The category this year was Color Theory and the Advanced category entrants had to pour four colors into one pouring vessel, and then pour into our mold using back and forth motions..Sorry the video gets a little hectic. I wanted to show the entire process and that the spectrum effect was achieved using only four colors. .Thanks to Amy Warden who hosts the and this month’s sponsor . Spectrum-Taiwan swirl cold process soap.

El Dorado is my entry to this month’s Soap Challenge Club. The challenge was to create a cold process soap that resembles marble with different colors and veining.
I separated my lye solution and oils into six small batches, then poured one layer at a time into a tall & skinny mold which was tilting to one side to create the marble effect using an in-the-pot swirl technique. I used Mad Micas Redrum copper/brown, Peach Taffy mixed with Pumpkin Head, King Tut gold, and titanium dioxide pigments. Each layer had different combinations of the four colors, used in different shades and saturations. After my first attempt I realized that the previous woodgrain soaps I’ve made prepared me a lot about this technique. This was my second attempt.
Scented with an earthy Oud fragrance.

Hand and Body Cream
So I rendered my own tallow. Pretty soon I’m going to be wearing a bonnet and churning my own butter.
Made with 25% Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Cocoa Butter, Tallow, Coconut Oil, Argon Oil, Hazelnut Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Vitamin E, and other skin loving ingredients. Scented with either Coconut Lime, or Bergamot Mandarin.
