This land was made for you and me.

This country can be what we want it to be. I believe the majority of us want it to be inclusive, kind, stewards of the land and all its inhabitants. We want to recognize the 250th anniversary, acknowledging the weight of citizenship these days and how important it is that we stand up for each other.
And check out that fantastic 7Up 50 state can display!!! Pop culture at its very best. Pun intended!

The best half of Retro on 8th, Jennifer, is donating her father’s nearly complete or complete collection of Time Magazine covers painted by Henry Koerner, one of Pittsburgh’s esteemed, prominent artists, to a current exhibit by Rivers of Steel. Jen’s parents lived in the 3rd floor apartment above Koerner on Murray Hill Ave and often saw him painting outside. There is a retrospective exhibition at the Bost Building in Homestead, Paintable Pittsburgh: The Art of Henry Koerner, until July 31, 2026. Check it out if you can. Some of these covers will be added in, we hope!
