Hello! Welcome to Stampin' in Gods Country. I love to read peoples 'about' sections so just in case you do too, here goes ...
First, how did I come up with the name for this page? Well, because my husband and I moved to Hondo Texas with my husband a few months ago and when people ask where we live and I tell them, they always say, "Oh yeah, God's Country!" Why? Because when you drive down Hwy 90, through the middle of town, there is this sign that says "Welcome! This is God's Country Please Don't Drive Through it Like Hell." The sign has apparently been there for ages and ages and is what Hondo is known for. Go figure!
We are currently living in our camper on our property, while we build our forever home. FOR-E-VERrrrrrrrrrr home! Like, we will literally die here. We sold our house in New Braunfels, moved into our 26ft travel trailer, and moved on to family land. Davids family.
I'm a TOTAL city girl and never really realized how much, until we moved out to the country. You know how Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman, says she is an accidental country girl? Well, that's me!! I'm like Zsa Zsa Gabor in Green Acres, haha!!
So, what can you expect from this page? Well, you can expect a combination of card tutorials and life. I'm a simple stamper and believe that crafting and card making should be fun and easy. I love to create cards that are unique to the person I am sending it to but I also love to have several Thank You's, Happy Birthdays, and Thinking of You cards on hand.
I exclusively use Stampin' Up! products because they make my card making easy! I'm the type of shopper that likes to go into a store and buy whatever the mannequin has on. It's easy. Stampin Up! products are designed to work together effortlessly: the color of the card stock matches the color of the blends or marker and the Designer Series Paper is designed to match, too. If you're new to SU, you'll see what I mean as you follow me. If you're not new, then you already know :)
As mentioned earlier, we're currently living in our camper and there just isn't any room to craft, so my friend Marcie is letting me keep my stuff at her house until we finish the house. So, this page will be a little sparse until then. But, I hope you'll stick with me and be ready for the really good stuff in a few months!
In the meantime, I'll plan on going LIVE once a week and creating something easy, but totally cute. I'll also share stamping tips and bring you along during these next few months of house building. Did I mention that we are doing most of the building ourselves? Yeah, super fun.
If you have any questions about stamping, the products I'm using, or how I'm keeping my sanity during the build, please reach out!!
Happy Stamping!!!!!!
