Canscapes

It’s fun to see the different stages. Sometimes I just need to trust the process and hold the vision of the completed piece of art. I can’t wait to see how this turns out. 🧐

From discarded cans to living Art.

Each piece is made by hand-every disc punched, placed, and set free to move with the wind. Light dances across the surface, shifting moment by moment just like the ocean that inspires it.

Please join me for my first solo art exhibition “Imaginal Discs” at .cafe Saturday January 10th. The opening reception is on 1/10 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

“Imaginal Discs” is my creative journey and transformative process taking the everyday aluminum can and reimagining the material into kinetic art. Through the slow process of collecting cans, deconstructing, cleaning, flattening and punching each disc by hand I am inspired by the colors and patterns I find. Each piece of art celebrates movement, reflection and natural beauty rather than contribute to environmental waste.
