Want to give your child's teacher a gift for the first day of school? Well, i just might be able to help! My name is Tanya Surdam Blair and I make all sorts of fabric crafts and goodies! I (officially) started out about 4 years ago with making fleece tie blankets. I had made them in the past when my older children were young, and I decided to start making them on the side again and I started Blair's Blankets. I've done many craft fairs and other vendor events. Currently, most of my stock is at The Schaghticoke Fair in The Arts and Crafts Barn on display for sale for the duration of the fair. Shortly after starting my little side business, I started making pillows. From there, I started making rice packs and I just kept adding new things! I keep my prices pretty low and sometimes, I may only make a couple of dollars off of my items. If I had a nickle for every time someone has commented on my low prices, saying that I need to charge more, I'd be rich just off of that! To me, this is just a hobby. I just love creating things and it's very relaxing and fun for me! I keep my prices low so that my items are affordable for everyone.
