What makes the Mohawk SmartStrand carpet different?🤔
There is a lot more to this carpet than just how beautiful and soft it is. Mohawk has put these carpets through some pretty extreme testing to make sure it can stand up to real life (and even a few things you probably wouldn't expect to find in a carpet testing lab!)
Let's start with durability:
🦏Mohawk famously put SmartStrand carpet to the test in a rhinoceros enclosure, where a 1.5-ton rhino walked across the carpet to test its durability and stain resistance. SmartStrand's unique Triexta fiber is engineered to resist crushing and matting while maintaining its appearance over time.
What really caught our attention with this newest collection is Pur-Ease™ Technology:
🦠Select SmartStrand styles are now available with Pur-Ease™ Allergen Control Technology, which uses naturally derived probiotics integrated into the carpet to help reduce common household allergens such as pet dander, pollen, and dust mite allergens. Independent testing conducted for the Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification found that treated carpets reduced these common allergens by at least 75% compared with untreated carpet under the defined testing conditions. This is the only carpet currently on the market to have earned this certification.
And then there's SmartStrand Silk®:
✨SmartStrand Silk takes the same performance-focused fiber and packs each strand with 700 silk-like fibers, about 3 times more individual fibers than traditional nylon carpet, creating an exceptionally soft, dense feel without sacrificing durability.
