My new favorite pattern! I have a possible special order for a lady. Im testing out color ways and trims for her until she finds that magic combo! I should know later this evening if she is passing on this Cropped Vest Bodice.
In the mean time, I figure if I'm going to make vests, I need to make them into a full set so we can have a proper photo shoot!
Things don't always go as planned.. Muse didn't want to show off her tummy and so I made a shirt. I also wanted to try my hand at making 'belts' to match. I measured her at her hip area but when it was all put together, with the shirt, the belt didn't look right being low. I quick stitched the back to make it smaller. And voila! A high waist belt! The stitches can come out easily if needed.
Do you see the new pants with the side tie pull strings? My Muse says they are super comfortable but needs pockets. Sewing pockets is not my thing, but maybe I should try?
