I'm still alive, I swear!

I've been plotting new mischief for my upcoming expo in New Orleans with in a few weeks! I got my hands on some new wet specimens that I'm so excited to bring along, including raccoons and beavers!

On an unrelated note, I've been brainstorming new display ideas and would love your input! If I did a drag queen duck, what would you love to see incorporated into the design? Big hair, bold makeup, and bright colors seem obvious, but I want to really work in those little details that make a display fun and interesting! I absolutely love drag queens and thought it would be a fun addition for Pride month. 🌈

PS- the pic shown is a cross-stitch design available on etsy! When considering a new design, I do multiple Google searches, mainly to ensure I'm not closely imitating or recreating an existing unique design. While different people can have similar ideas, it really sucks to have your hard work and unique designs stolen and recreated. Anyway, this came up and was too cute not to share! Nothing like spending a nice afternoon collecting blackberries in my backyard, only to find this poor thing. I left him be, but it looks like it might be a young mockingbird, possibly caught up in a recent storm.

For those unfamiliar, all North American native birds are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. It's illegal to possess remains including bones, eggs, feathers, or even nests. Game birds have their own specific rules, and indigenous people have different rights with regards to native wildlife, but in general, it's safe to assume a bird is protected and to leave it alone.

No matter how many sales I've made, I'm always thrilled that people like my ducks! I really enjoy making them, and I love that they make people smile. That's really the whole point, to bring joy to someone's day. ❤️

Today was amazing! Tulsa really turned out for day 1 of !

Had to share this darling lady I finished last night and sold today. She's a doll, but she's not *a* doll! She is a fully mummified opossum, all dressed up and pretty as can be. 🥰

Can't wait for tomorrow!
