Lush + airy—or as I like to call it, Lushairy. 🤎

It’s the signature Lewis Floral + Events balance: abundant without feeling heavy, soft without losing structure, and intentionally designed from every angle.

By layering flowers at different heights, angles, and depths—and leaving room for negative space—we create movement, texture, and dimension that allow every bloom to have its moment.

This is what premium floral design looks like over here.

Planning a wedding or event in Dallas–Fort Worth or the surrounding areas? Let’s create something unforgettable.

I almost didn't share this.

I spent time wandering through the wholesaler, selecting flowers one stem at a time, simply following my curiosity. There wasn't a client in mind or an event to design for—just space to create and reconnect with the part of me that loves exploring flowers for the sake of creativity.

Then life happened.

I never found the time to make the arrangement I had envisioned.

For a moment, I felt disappointed... until I realized these flowers still had a purpose.
Instead of ending up in a vase in my studio, they became the perfect way to introduce myself to my new neighbors and begin building community here in Texas.

As a florist, it's easy to think our work is about the arrangements we create. But moments like this remind me it's really about connection.

Sometimes the most meaningful designs aren't the ones we make.
They're the ones that bring people together. 🤎

As floral designers, so much of what we create begins with someone else's vision. It's one of the things I love most about this profession.

But every now and then, I need to create without an agenda.

No client.
No proposal.
No timeline.

Just curiosity.

That's exactly why I started The Floral Cypher.

It's my creative practice—a chance to wander through the wholesaler, choose one stem at a time, and simply follow what feels right. No rules. No pressure. Just trusting the process and allowing creativity to unfold naturally.

This arrangement started with a single flower that caught my attention. From there, every stem was selected because it felt right next to the last one.

I hope this series gives you a little glimpse into the way I see flowers—not just as ingredients for an arrangement, but as inspiration.

I'd love to know... what catches your eye first when you walk into a room: color, texture, or movement?

One of my favorite parts of event design is that it goes far beyond the flowers.

While florals are often the first thing guests notice, they're only one piece of the experience. The most memorable events are created through thoughtful layering—color, texture, lighting, tablescapes, candles, cocktails, and all of the intentional details that make a space feel inviting.

As a designer, I'm always thinking about how every element works together to tell a story and create a feeling that guests will remember long after the celebration is over.

Beautiful design isn't just something you see. It's something you experience.

When most people think about event flowers, they think about the tables.

For weddings, it's usually the tables and the altar.
But some of the most impactful floral moments often happen in the spaces guests interact with the most.

The welcome display that sets the tone when they arrive.

The cake display that becomes part of the celebration.
The bar where guests gather throughout the evening.
The lounge spaces where conversations happen and memories are made.

These details may not always be the first thing people think about when planning their event, but they often play a big role in creating a cohesive guest experience.
Flowers don't stop at the table.

Where would you incorporate flowers at your event?
