disappointingly and somewhat unsurprisingly , my market place find was not all solid oak ( see veneer side) and Oak Door side view ( what we wanted )
that being said , i will find a use , perhaps modified 😎

purchased this today of Market place
might be the second worst piece of furniture i’ve ever seen
But………………
there are some key components in this that i need for the cocktail bar !😎

Today i had to learn something new , in the art of joinery ( well practice at least 😎)
I was given the Audels Carpentry and Builders Guide by Amy Baker Sanders , printed in 1938
Whilst Youtube would show me , it’s kinda cool to go back in time to detail , written by craftsmen who drafted everything by hand , with hand tools to precision
I don’t have the skills these people have but it’s cool to go old school and figure it out !

working on the Secretary Bar today , now that i have caught up on most of my other projects
For any new followers , this will become a cocktail bar with built in wine chiller and locker along with some entertainment capability !

Hi followers !
I have a great post to share, but before i do, please let me introduce to you all Leading The Escapade

Janaye and Jason are an Aussie couple, who for the past few years have been sailing around the world on the yacht Escapade.
They share stories of yachting and the challenges, along with pratical advice and. some amazing locations.

i have been following them on their journey, and late last year, i reached out to them after one episode to see if i could be of assistance (no, not how to sail LOL) but with some of their boat upgrades.
We emailed back and forth and i was given a very speical privilege of making them a Spice Rack, that would be fitted inside the cabin
Having never made one before (panic was setting in !!!) , i went about this and early this year, was able to deliver this to them (well Liam had to carry it back to Florida for me !)
